The ABRAPlp was established to implement educational standards for psychoanalytic study programs offered in multiple languages and designed to train psychoanalysts who practice the profession, regardless of the country in which they reside.

Individuals registered with ABRAPlp are recognized as qualified to take their place in the field of psychoanalysis. They are capable of practicing as psychoanalysts, teaching psychoanalytic theories, and working with individuals who are familiar with or curious about the benefits of this profound and transformative practice.
